Personal Statement
I am currently a Junior at Independence High School, in Independence, Kansas. I am 5'11" and weigh 160 lbs. My college goals are to obtain a Bachelors degree and then to continue to pursue my medical degree. I have played multiple baseball positions thoughout my life and feel like I can play anywhere and have a major impact on the game. I have received multiple MVP awards along with WOW awards. I work hard at all times to reach my goal to play baseball at the college level. I also play football.
I was able to attend the Under Armour Top 96 baseball camp at Kansas State University in August 2014. I received very good feedback and instruction and plan to take what I learned and build upon it from here.
In 2013, I was chosen to play in the Kansas Babe Ruth Classic. The Kansas Babe Ruth classic is a double header played by the top 36 15 year olds in the State based on your performance in your District Tournament. In the double header, I played short stop and pitcher.
Throughout my last 2 years of high school, I want to continue and strive for a high GPA and work towards my goals that I listed above. I am very coachable and work very hard at whatever I am doing, whether it is academics or sports, I want to do my best and be the best.
