Personal Statement
Baseball has been a guiding force in my life since I fell in love with the sport. When I was a young boy.
First, during peanut league (ages 6-8) I developed my ability of being coachable. For example, being open to the idea of playing multiple positions and letting my coach do his job, and coach me. Being coachable on the field has transitioned to the class as well, making me teachable.
Secondly, two other qualities I have been further developing since Minor and Major League (ages 9-12) is patience and perseverance. The patience mainly came from being composed and calm on the mound. No matter how bad I wanted the call or how easy the play was that my team should've made. My perseverance became stronger from me trying to learn a new skill and not stopping until I enhanced it.
Finally, leadership and a positive attitude through anything are the latest qualities I have developed in high school ball (ages 13-present). Helping my team mates, making sure people are doing what they're supposed to be, and most importantly pushing my team to be the best they can be. This has led to me being outspoken on the field and the classroom. Not being that quiet guy.
Baseball has helped me develop many quality skills which will assist me in achieving a higher level of expertise in the sport I love. I believe possessing those skills will guide me to accomplish my life long goal of playing college baseball. I hope to bring my skills and qualities to help better the teams success and always learn more.
