Personal Statement
Hello potential coach, I am Harrison Fryman from a small town in Kentucky. I currently attend Fleming County High school and we are currently competing in division 3A. As a student/athlete here in FCHS I feel a deep love and commitment to both my academic and athletic life. I was raised with a strong belief of academics before all and I believe my current GPA reflects this statement. I was raised in a sports oriented life and I have loved and played just about all sports that are offered in my community. I currently play football and baseball at the high school level. I love the strong connection and feeling of brotherhood I have with all my teammates. We are extremely close as brothers and are always ready to step up if needed. My biggest love is baseball and I have not always been the best but I know that I have worked harder and longer than most kids my age. My parents are extremely supportive and have always left the crop fields or office to assure that I was where I needed to be. In two years of varsity level baseball and football I have never missed a practice or game. I do play and have played at various levels of summer baseball and I enjoy the competitiveness and admire the skill levels of all the kids I play against. In my Freshman year of baseball at FCHS I was a starter on the varsity team and completed my season winning a spot on all area district team. I am a starter in the outfield and I have pitched a great deal early on in my career and I am still working on the mind-set of a pitcher. I work with a great mentor and a great baseball mind couple of days a week, although fundamentals are a great deal of our work we also talk about the game and learning the game.
Sports are not all of my life I do enjoy my family farm, spending time with my family and being involved in my community. I volunteer at sports activities and conduct various job duties. I have been in community service projects and I enjoy spending time and learning new things. I am very close to my grandparents who have instilled great values in life and hearing their stories of growing up. I have a cousin who lived just a few farms away that played at the major league level, this is not bragging but I have valued his insight into baseball and how to respect the game. Woody Fryman was a great inspiration to me as I grew up and now that he is gone I still remember his stories and I share them often to my friends.
My future is such a blank canvass but in know that I want to pursue baseball and get my education and attending your college will allow me to start painting my future. I promise you will never question my commitment to our program and always love and respect my team. My dreams after baseball, whenever that may be is to pursue a career in sports management. My Mom says I have an uncanny knowledge of sports, I just find this something that comes so natural. I want a job that I love so it will never seem like a job, I hope that makes sense.
Thank you for your time in reading this story of what I want in my life, I hope it is something that will help you to get to know me better, my stats are on my profile and I will update them as often as possible.
Thanks for your time.
Respectfully;
Harrison Lee Fryman
