Personal Statement
I think baseball is such an amazing sport because you can succeed 3 out of 10 times and still be considered successful. Baseball teaches you how to deal with failure and how to keep a positive attitude. This is why I love to play the game and strive to be the best. Ever since I was five and I first set foot on a diamond, I knew that, outside of the classroom, this was where I needed to be. I have always had a knack for baseball and have always been comfortable being a leader on and off the field. I am always the first one to give constructive criticism but I'm also the first to pick someone up after they make an error. I am also a good listener and good at taking directions so I am easily coachable. Not only do I strive to be the best on the field, I strive to be the best in the classroom. I take the most challenging courses that are available to me every year and dedicate a lot of my time to studying. In the future, I hope to play college baseball and contribute to the team from the get go. I also hope to either get a PhD in History, become an orthopedic surgeon, or study biomedical engineering
