Coach,
It has been my goal to play baseball at the collegiate level for 3 years and I have been willing to do whatever it takes to get better. I am a commited athlete. I do something every day to improve my baseball skills. I swing my bat every day on my own and/or with my hitting coach. I have been working on perfecting both hitting mechanics as well as situational hitting and it has been paying off for me at the plate where I am currently hitting 412 with an OBP just under 600. I take fungos and do fielding drills several times a week. I also work out constantly to stay in shape both at Cressey Performance and through a speed coach I have been working with. I will layout for any ball and have very good effective range both forehand and backhand. I have been a leader on my club and high school teams and will do whatever it takes to help the team.
I am a mostly A student and am currently carrying a 3.8/4.00GPA at a school that is highly regarded both for its academics and baseball team.
I volunteer regularly whether it is with the Little League Challengers, Cradles to Crayons or helping my Mom with her Make a Wish work.
It would be my pleasure to talk with you more about opportunities at your school.
