I have enjoyed playing sports from a very young age. Although I excel at playing as a goalie in hockey, my true love is baseball. I have had the privilege of playing ball for both my town and my high schools. I played two years of baseball and hockey for Catholic Memorial before transferring to my home town high school in Norwood. This year I am playing on the varsity team as a Junior. I would be a good candidate for your team because I not only love the sport but have worked hard to become physically fit and mentally able to play baseball at the next level. I have learned that being a team player is critical to the success of a winning team. Athletically my game revolves around speed. Hitting at the top of the line up in the past, I have learned that it is my job to get on base anyway that I can and score runs for the team. Academically I am a member of the National Honor Society. Knowing that academic performance is important, I push myself to be the best that I can in the classroom. As the starting right fielder for the 2014 Norwood High varsity team this past season, i know what it takes to win as my team and I finished second in the division and also won the South Sectional and Eastern Massachusetts championships before falling in the state championship.
