Kyle Ferreira '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kyle Ferreira, a 6'2" - 185 lb. athlete from Silver Spring, MD, whose goal is to pursue opportunities on the baseball diamond.   As a child, I have always been around sports. My mother, a full time 3 sport athlete in high school, gave me the desire to pursue a sport that I enjoy and feel I could not live without. I started playing baseball when I was 5 years old and wanted to play at a more competitive level so I pursued travel ball. My love for the game increased. I continue to strive to be the best player on the team, as well as, a leader. I enjoy the comradery within the game of baseball and would like to be given the opportunity to pursue a career in Sports Management while continuing my baseball career.

I am a rising Senior at Paint Branch High School - Burtonsville, MD where I have continued to play baseball and have also played QB position during football season which has allowed me to further strengthen my throwing arm. I throw right and bat left. I have strong bat which makes me a threat in the lineup. I have played 1st base throughout travel ball and high school, but have also had success on the pitching mound and outfield. I have also played catcher as well. I embrace all opportunities to play the game and my past coaches have said that my ability to play multiple positions on the field will make me an asset to any team I play for.

It’s hard to imagine my life without baseball. It has always been a major part of my life. My father has always pushed me to be the best in everything I do and his confidence in my abilities has pushed me to further my career in baseball. I would like to be given the opportunity to play baseball in college because of the confidence my father has instilled me; there is no limit in my potential.  I want to attend a college that has an outstanding baseball program, can provide me an excellent education and has a student body that loves and supports their school. I am looking for a school and team that is the right fit for me.
