My name is Dean Edmundson and I am a 16 year-old senior at Northwest High School in Germantown, Maryland. I have a 3.4 cumulative GPA and I am consistently enrolled in Honors and AP courses. I received honor roll throughout my high school career and I scored a 1290 on the new SAT (out of 1600). In addition, I will be a graduate of our Academy of Finance program at Northwest.
I have been a varsity starter on the baseball team ever since my sophomore year. As a junior, I batted .375 with a .600 OBP playing 3B and pitching. At 6'0" and 195 lbs., I was considered the ace on the pitching staff, carrying a 4-2 record, striking out 32 batters in 32 innings. I was named "1st-Team All-Division" (4A) West as a pitcher in Montgomery County, the largest district in the state of Maryland, as voted by the coaches in the county. Last fall, I was the game-winning pitcher on the county league championship team. I have an 85 mph fastball, with an above-average curveball and slider.
I will benefit your baseball program because of my competitiveness and work ethic. I am very persistent, yet calm in my approach. I have been told I am very calm and collected while under pressure. I will be dedicated to the program, as well as the classroom. I am a very coachable student-athlete. It would be an honor to be considered for your team. Thank you for reviewing my NCSA profile.
