Personal Statement
I was born into a baseball family, so I was playing baseball before I can remember. Being the third boy of four children, I lived on the ball fields, so I developed a love of the game. I feel that my strong connections with friends, family, and faith have made me the person I am today...I am a caring, hard working, determined athlete with natural leadership skills. I found that through baseball and the many other sports I play/have played I always seem to step up and be the leader and help my team to be the best we can be. Throughout high school I have worked hard to achieve the Minds in Motion Award (maintaining a 3.25 GPA or higher during any season) each baseball season and believe that sports motivates me even further when it comes to academics. I plan to continue being a successful student athlete at the collegiate level. One of my most unique characteristics is that I am compassionate about helping all kids get the chance to play sports and enjoy them like I do. I am very involved in Unified Sports at my school. During the fall and winter seasons, I play Unified Tennis and Unified Bocce. These teams are sponsored by the Special Olympics and include student athletes who have learning/physical disabilities. Overall, I believe with the life experiences I've had and my dedication to being a successful student athlete, I can be a good asset to any collegiate baseball program.
