Matthew Bobrowski '20 Recruiting Profile

    I was lucky enough to make the high school baseball team as a freshman, it was a dream to start every game at shortstop except for the first game. Being a freshman, I got the chance to meet the older guys who played ball on the team and talk to them about their past experiences. We had a decent year as a team on the field, however, we all became close and it helped us become better people off the field. We all had each other's backs and we all supported one another. Our coach was heavy on discipline and that helped me become very focused on striving for goals, working hard in school, being the best person I can be, and getting better on the field. 

   My major goal while playing for this high school program is to win a state championship. After the decent year we had my freshman year, I learned that with putting in more work, having a good relationship with the team, and the leadership I can provide can help get our team to what we want to become. After these high school years I have left, I am looking towards a college that is a good fit for me athletically and academically. With the things I have learned so far, like the discipline, the teamwork, the time and commitment, and the leadership it takes to win, adds on to the talent that I believe I can add to a college program.
