Personal Statement
First and foremost, I want to continue to play baseball after high school. I want to contribute to my team's success both on and off the field. My long term goal is to play baseball on the highest level I can. My passion for baseball is unmatched because I am a fierce competitor. I am diligent and fastidious about the little things. I am versatile and am able to play in both the infield and outfield. I play football and wrestle because I know how important it is develop different skill sets. Playing football has taught me about teamwork and what it means to work together to achieve a goal. Wrestling demands a dedication like no other sport. I have learned humility and how to be fearless when competing. Standing on a mat in the middle of the gym looking at my opponent is very similar to being at the plate waiting for the next pitch. I thrive on that moment when I am tested, when I must rise to whatever challenge I am presented with. I work diligently to be prepared for those moments whether it means lifting early mornings, taking more grounders, or hitting in the cage. Academics have always been challenging for me but I have learned to advocate for myself and to be successful in the classroom so I can be a true student-athlete.
