Jared Demkowicz '16 Recruiting Profile

     I am a 6'2",200 lb senior (2016) at the University of Detroit Jesuit High School who loves baseball and has a strong desire to achieve at the highest level. I am coachable, disciplined and a hard worker.  I am a strong left-handed hitter, RHP and corner infielder who can hit for power to all fields.  I have consistently been one of the top performers on my high school and summer travel teams with a BA over .350 and SLG% over .500.  In 2015 I was selected to the All-League team, All-District team, and 18U Perfect Game National Championship team.
     U of D Jesuit is a Catholic college preparatory school for young men with a rich history of academic and athletic excellence.  Our school mantra is “Men For Others” and I try to live by this creed every day.  I always try to maintain a positive attitude even when things are not going my way.  I am highly motivated to succeed/win in the classroom and on the baseball field.  My strong work ethic has helped me maintain good grades while playing baseball and training year-round. 
     In the offseason, I am committed to training with with coaches in the areas of hitting, fielding, pitching and running in order to continuously improve my game. Because of my hard work, I made my high school varsity team as a sophomore and two years ago I was recruited to play for the East Cobb Patriots, an elite academic travel baseball program based in Marietta, GA.  I am very grateful to have been given these opportunities. 
     My college goal is to get a great education while having the opportunity to play baseball for a competitive program where I can contribute. I am an unselfish player who believes that my team comes before individual stats. I love baseball and play with tremendous heart through the last out.
