Trevor VanDuyn '16 Recruiting Profile

I would love the opportunity to continue my baseball career at a college or university.  I feel first and foremost that I am a great teammate as evidence by my peers choosing me to be captain on my high school baseball and basketball teams this year as a junior.  By participating in two varsity sports this past year, I enjoy the competition, and believe I play some of by better games on the biggest stages.  My coaches also trust me to play multiple positions which I believe speaks to my versitility.  Throughout my career I have played every position on the field whether it was out of necessity for the team or coaches new I could handle it.  I loved the challenges and opportunities these experiences gave me.

I am also involved in many college prep courses and currently I am taking some AP(advanced placement) courses which I value as I know the importance of being a student-athlete here in high school, but also as I move forward in my career.  My parents keep me grounded in constantly reminding me that I am a student first and and an athlete second.  I take this very serious as both my parents played college athletics!
