Personal Statement
My name is Brendan Osantowski and I am beginning my senior year at Lake Shore High School in St.Clair Shores, MI. I have been a multi-sport athlete since I was four years old. I have been playing baseball, soccer, basketball and football on recreation, travel club, federation, Junior High, and High School Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. Continuing my education and succeeding in obtaining a degree is first and foremost. To follow my passion for baseball and be able to play at the collegiate level would be an even further accomplishment towards my goal. As any athlete, I would like to play for a Division I or Division II college or university team but I am open to looking at a school that would work well with both my academic goals and athletic ability. My parents have always been an important part of my sport experiences. They have encouraged me to never give up on my dreams and that by giving a 100% effort will get me further in life, education and sports.I am the person I am today because of the influences of my parents and other family members, teachers, coaches and friends. I am a person of good moral character, have respect for others, have an outgoing personality and am able to get along well with others. I am currently the Senior Class Vice President, a member of the Honor Society and have received a Conference All -Academic Team Award for every sport that I have played.
As a student, and athlete, I know that to succeed means to work hard and stay focused which is it what I will continue to do during my college years.
I feel that being able to play multiple positions in baseball allows me to better myself, while continuing to grow in the knowledge of the sport, but also gives me the opportunity to help the team by being able to utilize me as needed. I have grown throughout the years in my athletic ability due to playing multiple sports, which has made me a stronger athlete and better leader.
