Cory Burnett '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a hard working athlete that will give 110% all the time.  I value the "Team" aspect and know there is no "I" in TEAM.  I am easily coachable and very dedicated.  I am a 3 sport athlete (Baseball, Basketball, Football) and also play in the Concert Band, Marching Band, and Jazz Band at my school.  My GPA is a 3.9 out of 4.0 and I scored a 30 on my ACT TEST.  My junior year (2015) I received Academic All-Region Honors for baseball.  I also received the TITAN award for baseball my junior year.  This award is given to the person who embodies the qualities of the Titans- leadership both on and off the field, being a team player, putting the team first, giving 100% in all that is done.  I recently received the MVP award for Football my junior year (I am a 4 year starter for that as well- Freshman on Defense, Sophomore, Junior, Senior years both Offense and Defense).   Since I began playing baseball, I have played every position on the field.  Through my high school career, I have played mainly 2nd base, outfield (Left most often), Shortstop, Catcher, and Pitcher.  My goal for college is to graduate with a degree in Engineering, while doing something I love- playing baseball.  I would love the opportunity to play 2nd base or outfield in college.
