Noah Kotre '19 Recruiting Profile

       The moment I first picked up a bat and ball was amazing.  I felt a strong connection to an incredible game.  Baseball, however, is a game of failure.  This is tough on a perfectionist like myself.  Over the years, I have struggled with getting angry at myself whenever I made mistakes.  Now, with the help of my family, coaches and God, I am learning to channel that anger and use it as motivation to work harder so I can become the best player I can be.

       I think I have a lot to offer a baseball program.  Along with my competitive drive, I am a very versatile player, as my coaches have trusted me with many positions, such as catcher, middle infield, third base, outfield, and pitcher.  I like catcher the most because of the leadership that position requires.  I have to be aware of everything going on, and keep my teammates focused.  I also like working with my pitchers, getting to know their strengths and weaknesses, and helping them remain mentally tough, no matter what the situation.  

       Playing baseball at the collegiate level would be a dream come true.  I am looking for a college that will help me become a better baseball player, student and person (physically, mentally and spiritually).  My hope is to not only graduate as a well developed baseball player, but to be deeply changed as a human being so I can become a humble, dedicated leader.  I am open to any college that gives me an opportunity, and promise that I will make the most of it.
