Personal Statement
I am now a college athlete playing golf for Meridian Community College.
I have been playing tournament baseball since I was six and have played every year since on successful USSSA AA, AAA, and Major teams. I have played on two World Series Champion teams, a State Champion, a State Runner-up, and a third-place State Champion team. I am lucky to be able to attend a private school where I played football, baseball, and basketball from 3rd through 9th grade as a peewee and junior varsity athlete. I am a four sport varsity athlete (football, basketball, golf, and baseball) and have excelled in different ways in each of these sports. I am able to balance athletics (and all the practice, games, and travel that go with it) with my academic success. I am currently the National Honor Society President competing for Salutatorian (4.33 GPA) of my class. I am very active in church and my faith in God is very important in how I act towards others and helps regulate how I live on and off the field.
I earned the starting QB position for the football team after the second game of my junior year. I remained the starting QB for my senior year. For the 2018-19 season, I was blessed to be Best Offense in basketball and MVP in both golf and baseball. I was also named to the Vicksburg Post's All County team in basketball and baseball. Although I've played extensively as a middle infielder, I have played well at 3rd and 1st base. I was also in the starting pitcher rotation for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons. I hope to extend my athletic career in college in baseball or golf.
