My overall goal in college is to become a better man. My high school's motto is "Esto Vir", it is Latin for "Be a Man". I have modeled my life after this meaning because to me being a man is not about how physically strong you are, it is about how you carry yourself and act in everything you do. This is how I play and lead on the baseball field. I lead by example, am outspoken, and can inspire a group.
On the field, I play one way: 100%. I play smart, hard, and fast. Effort is one of the only things a person can control in sports so I always give my all. I never take a pitch off, I am always engaged even if I am waiting for my at-bat I will be cheering on my teammate in the batters box. I have a strong desire to win at everything I do and work hard to make sure that happens.
In the class room I am always engaged in class and have a desire to learn. I always try my hardest and work to the best of my ability in everything I do.
