Taylor Halteman '17 Recruiting Profile

      I had a unique opportunity to play internationally for Team USA (USSSA) in Tokyo, Japan. I enjoyed meeting and interacting with baseball players from countries around the world such as Australia, Brazil, China, Taiwan and Japan. I have played on traveling Club teams for Easton and Rawlings. This summer I will play catcher and 3rd base for the Rawlings St. Louis Prospects 18U. I have always known I wanted to be a surgeon. I plan to major in Biology with a pre-med emphasis, I would like to bring my baseball career to the next level and play through college. The most important factor for me is to play for a college that is a good fit for me. While my chosen major requires mental focus and due diligence, baseball requires both as well. I am extremely capable of doing both academically as well as athletically, I am up to the challenge. I possess great mental focus in the classroom and on the diamond. I am not afraid of hard work and will always give the team everything I have.
