Personal Statement

I have always loved playing the game of baseball and as a high school student it is my dream to continue playing while pursuing my academic goals as well. I have the determination and the toughness to compete at the collegiate level as my skills will continue to develop with my focus and dedication through my next two years of high school. On the mound I have the poise and control of the game that will allow me to compete at the next level.

  • Coach Tom Walters evaluation received 7-28-14 Good size and good arm strength.  Your velocity was 84-86 on your fast ball and 67-70 on your breaking ball.   Areas of improvement:  You need to work on being able to repeat your delivery and pitch with body control.  Until that happens you will struggle with command of the strike zone.  Right now your breaking ball is below average but that can certainly be improved with a more consistent delivery and a commitment to throwing it properly.   Right now you are projecting as a lower level D1 pitcher.  If your velocity takes a bump into the 88+ range you could be a mid-level D1 pitcher if the command and breaking ball also improve.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
