My name is Andrew Roussin and I live in Jefferson City, Missouri. My Mom and Dad (which is a Retired Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army), are my biggest supports in my endeavors and goals in baseball. I also have my two younger brothers Matthew and Daniel who also love to play baseball. I am a Left Hand Pitcher, play First Baseman, and also Outfield. I normally bat right-handed even though I am really left-handed, however, I have begun batting as a switch hitter. I am currently playing on the Helias Catholic High School Baseball Team, and play in the Jefferson City League over the summer. My goals and aspirations are to continue to play baseball and move up the ranks through divisions, minors and ultimately playing for the St. Louis Cardinals in the Major Leagues.
I have played baseball since 2009. My first baseball games were in Fort Leonard Wood baseball leagues. In 2012-2013 in Yongsan Army Garrison, Seoul, South Korea in which not only playing in middle school band playing the trombone, I had the opportunity to play baseball internationally playing in the Yongsan Garrison Youth Leagues and played against South Korean teams and other leagues. Since coming back to Missouri in 2013-2014, I’ve played for Waynesville schools and played in the Lebanon Leagues, having the opportunity to play in the St. James, MO Tournament and the Lebanon League Tournaments. My most recent is playing for the American Legion League in Jefferson City, MO, in 2015, being picked for the Jefferson City All-Star Team to play in State Competition last year. This year still being involved with Jefferson City League, my focus will be on high school baseball playing for Helias Catholic High School as a LHP and OF; afterwards, will continue the summer with Jeff City League and once again to play for the All-Star Team.
