When I was four I started my career in baseball. I began with t-ball, and grew up playing everything from city-wide, league, travel, and now school ball. Throughout those years, I developed skills and the love for the game, and also had the greatest cheering team (my family) to help encourage me along the way. It wasn’t until my freshman year of high school that I finally realized that baseball is my dream and I’ve always set goals to make myself improve. Freshman year was also my favorite year; I had some of the best teammates to look up to, and they always pushed us younger players to try our hardest each day. That year the captain of the team, and someone I’ve always looked up to, got injured sliding home during a game on our road to districts. After he got injured an incredibly strong bond formed throughout the team and it lead to our victory during the District Championship game. That was a year I’ll always remember. Now that I’m one of the older players on the team, I feel as if it’s my responsibility to instill the same encouragement into my younger players, as it was instilled in me. I’m always pushing my guys to try their hardest and become better; I’m lucky to call these guys my family. I’ve always seen myself playing college ball, and I’d be beyond grateful if I was given that opportunity
