First off, my main goal for the near future is to continue to learn, strive and excel; academically and on the field. I am working hard in both areas to achieve personal success of reaching that next level; a collegiate career. I am prepared and set up to succeed in school, at my home and on the field. I feel I am completely at peace and ease when on the field; especially on the mound. I love the thrill of controlling the game and helping my team be competitive throughout the game and season. Another immediate goal of mine is to continue to gain the trust of my coaches and peers in a leadership role. Presently, I am the captain of my school Freshman team and I have worked extremely hard to prepare and encourage my teammates. I would love to keep my leadership role through high school because I feel I am gaining a valuable skillset that will serve me well in my future. If given the opportunity to participate at the next level in college, I am confident my abilities will translate into success. I realize that everyone who plays this game has a dream of making it to the Show, but I am willing to put hard work, effort and sweat into making my dreams a reality. At a bare minimum, I would like to give back to the sport by assisting my father with coaching my younger brothers' age group (10yr old) to help these players understand and and appreciate the game of baseball. On a personal note, I plan on majoring in communications to continue my sports passions. I believe that a communications major will assist me in speaking to a crowd or to an individual listener.
