Personal Statement
From a very young age, my parents have taught be to be the best I can be in everything I do. This has become a big influence in my sports and more importantly, in my academics. Becoming the best version of yourself takes a lot of hard work and determination and I believe this is where sports have helped me the most. Participating in sports has taught me how to get along with others, how to be a leader and a team player, how to take pride in everything I do, and most importantly it has taught me to set goals and strive to achieve those goals.
My goal for the next few years in my life are to keep good grades and scores in high school, play all of my sports to the best of my ability, and to ultimately go to college. I see my sports and academics as a great fit for many colleges and I believe I also show very good qualities and would be able to portray a great image for any college that takes interest.
I am a multi-sport athlete and love competing. I started wrestling at the age of 5, baseball shortly after. I have been on baseball and wrestling traveling teams since early grade school. I think something that makes me stand out from other athletes is my level of dedication. I really don't have an off season. I move from baseball into training for football, then wrestling, track and back to baseball. I am always seeking out camps and off-season activities to keep me ready for the next season. Throughout the years I have obtained a strong mind set to go to college for my skills at baseball and also my academic success. I believe I am a great candidate for any college and their teams. I am a hard worker, lead by example to my team, I try to be that team leader and show confidence and consistency in my sports. I feel I have a sturdy skill set, and I am very dedicated in what I put my mind to doing.
