Personal Statement
My name is Zach Meyer. When I was young I had a goal. That goal was to go to college. As I was growing up I realized that baseball could help me reach my goal. I then began to dream of playing baseball in college and beyond. I would make an excellent candidate for your team. I was raised to be a good, honest person and I am a very good teammate. I am coachable and work hard to apply what I am taught. I am a left handed pitcher with a three quarter delivery. My ball moves a great deal and I can throw 4 pitches effectively. Another unique thing about me is that I did not pitch a great deal growing up in select baseball, so my arm is fresh and rarely gets sore after pitching. Last year was my first year on varsity and I worked my way up to the ace of our staff on a team that went to the state tournament. I am young for a senior and I have just begun to grow taller and put on weight so my velocity is steadily improving. I continue to work hard in the classroom and put in extra time with teachers as needed.
