Personal Statement

Education has always been my number one priority in life. I'm looking to pursue a very good education and continue playing the game I love. My academic goals for high school are to maintain a high GPA and be a part of the National Honor Society (Accomplished) . My athletic goals for high school are to make varsity my sophomore year(Accomplished), be the starting catcher my junior year(Accomplished), and be a major contributor to a state championship team.  Baseball has always played a part in my life and from the first moment I stepped on the baseball field, I knew it was the game for me.  I played a lot of sports growing up, but baseball is the one I truly love. I am blessed to play this sport and it has taught me a lot about commitment, hard work, teamwork, dedication, leadership, and overall character.

April 6, 2016 is the day that my life changed forever when my mom passed away after an 11 year battle with cancer. This was the worst thing that had happened to me, but some good has come out of it. It has made me more humble and I realized how quickly things in life can change. My mom's passing has also turned me into a stronger person mentally and has given me extra motivation to excel in the classroom and on the field. What I will be able to offer the coaching staff and the team is an energy, love and passion for the game, incredible work ethic, and coachability. Overall, I am looking for a school where I can first of all, get an excellent education, and continue playing the sport I love.

  • 1/12/18 to 1/14/18
  • Cullen continues to show well on the diamond and did so again at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At the plate, this strong righty maintains centered balance with a solid base. Quick hands fire the barrel through a level path as he likes the pitch on the inner 1/2, pulling it with some pop. Behind the plate, he sits in well with flexion and tracks pitches into a soft mitt. He moves well laterally to center up pitches in the dirt off of his chest. Transfer / exchange is quick as he puts throws accurately on the 2B bag. Cullen is a well-rounded catcher who should find success in this his junior season.

  • Ainsworth continues to work hard on his game. At the plate, this RHH shows a well balanced approach with patience. Barrel delivery is level as he connects with and drives the ball up the middle of the field. Behind the plate, he tracks the ball into his mitt and sticks it. He gains ground toward his target and has a clean exchange to throw. At 2B, he has smooth actions as he works hard into position behind the ground ball. He fields the ball cleanly and delivers accurate throws toward 1B. A young 2019 grad - Cullen has a lot of time to develop his skills
