Playing college baseball has always been a dream of mine. I started playing baseball when I was about five years old at Mountain Ridge Little League in Las Vegas, Nevada. I grew up playing in little league and started club ball when I was about ten years old. My ten-year-old year through my twelve-year-old year seasons of All Stars my team went undefeated in District and in State Tournaments. I got to pitch 2 of the state championship games! We are the only team in Nevada to win State 3 years in a row. We even made it to the semifinal game in the Western Regionals in San Bernardino, California. Baseball has always been a passion of mine and I have always had the love for the game, I love the competition and learning to overcome when you’re not sure how too. I have been playing club baseball and high school baseball since little league.
My first 2 years of high school I played JV. Unfortunately, I didn’t grow that much and was on the small side for my Freshman and Sophomore seasons, I had to learn to play from the bench and learn to step in and get a hit or come in a pitch 1 or 2 innings. That all went away my Junior year, I grew up and am still growing, I am one of the larger players on our Varsity team now and got to start my first of Varsity. I led my team in pitching with a 7-1 record. I also hit .381. I learned a ton from those 2 years of playing from the bench, I believe it has helped me progress into the player and person I am today. I want to keep growing and learning on the field and in the classroom. I am looking forward to a future in college.
