Personal Statement
Hi Coach,
I am a 2020 graduate. Last year I pitched for Varsity and had my first varsity win and a few saves. When I wasn’t pitching I played first base on the JV team. I just finished my summer season with my club team and had tournaments every weekend. After the season ended I helped my Varsity coach with his summer camp for kids from third to eight grade. It was a great experience, to work with the aspiring baseball players.
Last year during the winter I coached an 8th grade travel basketball team. We went to the championship but sadly we lost. I enjoyed seeing the kids get better with my coaching. I hope to coach a team again this year. The experience even made me decide to minor in coaching in college.
My coach told me that if I work hard he thinks I have a bright future in baseball. I am willing to work hard. I want to play baseball in college and will do anything that it takes. I work with my trainer to gain strength and to learn how to avoid injury. I’m working on my mechanics to gain velocity and more control of my pitches. I am noticing the benefits of all the hard work and I think I have a lot of room for growth and I am looking forward to putting in the work.
I want to play in a college where I can be happy and learn. I hope to major in Sports Management. I also want to be a valuable player on the baseball team and help the team be successful.
I hope that gives you and idea of who I am. You can check out my twitter account and Perfect game statistics.
