Personal Statement
Growing up with support from family and friends to pursue my athletic goals has made me who I am today. From an early age, I was playing baseball with a passion that no one could have predicted. The sport has molded me into a well-rounded person because it is not just the sport that has the learning curve, it’s also the life lessons. Currently, I am focused on my high school academic studies so that it resonates into fulfilling my dream of playing baseball on the collegiate level. Time management between studies and baseball has become most critical, and have developed a well-disciplined program for myself to enhance my capabilities in both.
My collegiate goals are to primarily be successful in my chosen area of studies as well as to have the opportunity to show my tireless work ethic on the baseball field. Leading a team on the field through a determined and focused approach during practices and games is what sets my baseball abilities apart from other players and provides motivation. Having experienced the absence of leadership on several teams has driven me to become the player that a team can rally behind and overcome any adversity- on or off the field.
