Personal Statement

My philosophy on why academics are important:  I place an emphasis on academics as it is important to continue to learn and grow as both a baseball player and a person.

My philosophy for playing the game of baseball and what I hope to accomplish at the College/University level:  I respect the game of baseball and do my best to represent my team in a positive way. My goals for college is to compete at a high level and continue to improve my game.

My career goal and potential field of study:  I am interested in majoring in either athletic training or sports management. My goal is to remain in the game of baseball as a career whether on or off the field.

  • Hi Zach, Thanks for getting in touch with us. My name is Taylor Wright and I am the Director of Baseball Operations here at Villanova. At our camp we had your fastball at 76 mph. Coach Godri thought your best pitch was your curveball, which was 66 mph. He also thought you had a good pitcher's body. With that in mind, you have a lot of room to get bigger and stronger, which will increase your velocity. You are welcome back to any of our camps, and we would love to have you. I hope this information helps and allows you to become a better ballplayer. We wish you the best of luck in your fall season. Best, Taylor Wright

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
