Personal Statement

I am passionate about baseball.  I have set a goal to play baseball beyond high school.  I like to see myself as a hard working athlete and student.  In the classroom I enjoy learning and succeeding in all of my classes.  My goal for academics is cracking the 15 mark for class rank.  I am sitting right now at 20 and I am working hard and I am committed everyday to reach my goal.  Out on the field, I am willing to receive feedback to make me better.  I like to see myself as a coachable athlete and a team player.  I have set many goals for baseball and academics in high school as well as for my future college.  As a high honors student, I am taking challenging classes.  When I am a junior, I will continue challenging myself in taking AP classes.  Last year, I was one of six students of the whole school earning half of an academic credit for completing 75 hours of community service.  I take pride in giving back to my community.  On and off the baseball field, I am a role model to my younger brother and other younger athletes who have the same love for baseball.  Having a passion for baseball and academics, I realize there is a balance and sacrifices will have to be made.  I am willing to put effort and discipline in both academics and baseball to make myself a better student and athlete.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
