Personal Statement
My goal has always been to be a baseball player at one of the best academic universities in the country. Academics are very important to me and my opinion is that discipline in the classroom has a direct relationship with my development as a baseball player. I have dedicated myself to improving my skills and growing into a better athlete on the field and in the weight room. I am going into the season as a redshirt sophomore. I went through my growth spurt late in my junior year and I have loved the opportunity it has continuously given me to develop into the player I want to be. As a junior college guy, I don't try and justify my situation by saying I was overlooked. I see it as the schools I wanted to play for, saw me, and simply did not want me. I carry that motivation with me everyday.
