Personal Statement
As a scholar-athlete, I hope to continue to push myself to achieve the highest levels possible. Thus far I have been fortunate enough to have had success with Baseball on the national level while playing Basketball at a high level locally. I hope to continue this trend into High School while continuing to be an A & B student. While I know there are many challenges ahead, I hope that through hard work and perseverance I can achieve my goal of playing baseball at a top program.
This spring I have been leading my HS Varsity team as a Sophomore on a top team in NJ (St Joseph-Metuchen 14-6). I have been a starting pitcher, currently with a 5-0 record and 2 saves. I have been consistently clocked at 86-88, topping out at 91mph. I also start at 2B and SS when not pitching. I have updated my profile below with my stats from this current and past seasons.
This past summer/fall I hoped to have a chance to represent my country on the 15U USA National team and once again was named to the 40-man roster, for the second consecutive year. I also played in numerous tournaments with So Cal NTT travel team, and finished the summer with an ERA of 0.40 after 35 innings pitched. At the conclusion, I received an invitation to the PerfectGame Underclass All American Games. Because I believe that playing alongside and against some of the best talent in the country will ultimately prepare me for playing at the top collegiate level, I have chosen to accept an invitation to play for the prestigious Evoshield Canes (2017 Prime) team this upcoming summer.
