Personal Statement
My name is Drew Burdsall and I attend Pennsville Memorial High School in Pennsville, NJ. I am in the graduating class of 2014. I've been the starting wide receiver and safety on my varsity football team since my freshman year and was named captain my junior year. I was named captain due to my strong work ethics in the classroom and on the field, my character, and my leadership skills on and off the field. I take pride in my teammates' success as much as my own and my main goal when competing is to win.
My success is a direct result of my hard work and desire to be successful in everything that I do. For example, I have yet to recieve lower than an A in all my years of schooling. My hard work has also led to the New Jersey state career receptions record of 180, and 1st Team All-State honors. Few players outwork me as I am constantly training to enhance and improve my skills all year long in an effort to become the best football player I can be.
One thing I can guarantee if I attend your school is the burning desire to be the best player I can be, leaving everything I have on the field whether game or practice. Day in and day out I will give you my all as a player being the first one there and the last one to leave.
I am a well rounded student-athlete and I believe I have the strengths and skills to compete at the next level. When looking forward to college, I see myself becoming a key contributor for an elite college team comprised of athletes with the same competitive desire as myself.
Thank you for your time and interest,
Drew Burdsall.
