Luis Rojas '14 Recruiting Profile

Who I am… I am 17 years old and measure 6’5 and weigh 197 pounds. I am a junior at Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains NJ; where I start in left field and pitch for our Varsity team. I have a top fast ball that has consistently been measured at 85. My current resources of pitches consist of a 2 & 4 seam fastball, curve, slider, and a change-up but my favorite pitches are the 2 and 4 seam as they have great movement but I have good command all of my pitches. My slider breaks approximately 18 - 24 inches, necessary for those tough hitters.  In addition to my baseball abilities; I am also a very good student with all of my classes being honors level. My current GPA is 3.65 but my goal is to finish this year with a 4.0 average. 

I believe I have the passion and skill set to play Division I baseball but I promise the College or University who gives me the opportunity to play for them; you will receive a player who will be dedicated and give 110% to his coaches and teammates because they deserve nothing less! I further commit to the College or University who chooses me that I am someone who has a PASSION for the game of baseball and I promise that if you choose me; you will not regret your decision!
