Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Dan Cunico. I am 16 years old and am a junior at Pope John XXIII High School. I am 6'4" and weigh 215 pounds. I am a RHP and currently throw 84-86 mph consistently and have maxed out at 89mph. I have excelled athletically as well as academically. I was the captain for my football team this year in the high school season and was the starting defensive end. I can offer a lot to a baseball organization. I can and will offer leadership, someone to look up to, being a great teammate, making sure everyone is doing what they are supposed to be doing, give 110 percent on every play and never give up. I will not put my head down, and if a teammate messes up or makes an error, I will pick him up. I try to pride myself on having good mound presence and having good composure. I do not let errors or bad pitches get into my head because that is part of the game. I live in the northeast region of the country and would like to go to any place where baseball is serious. I do not care if i have to go indoors in the harsh snow or sweat my butt off in the south. Anywhere I can play a great game of baseball. Anywhere I can dig my spikes into that crisp cool dirt next to that rubber is where I want to be. I have a few athletic goals. They are to play D1 baseball with a scholarship, to bring success to whatever organization i am a part of, and to be a leader on every team I play for.
