Daniel Skea '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a 17 year old junior at Oratory Prep High School in Summit, New Jersey. I aspire to play and succeed in baseball at the college level. I am a very coachable recruit and I strive to make my teammates better athletes and better people. I am not afraid to step up and be a leader. School is just as important to me as baseball is. I maintain a high GPA and I continue to work as hard as possible in school. 

I know my capabilities better than anyone else, and I know that I can bring a lot to any college baseball team. Out of all of the positive qualities I possess, the one quality that I am most proud of is the amount of time and effort I place into everything I do. Whether it is school or sports, I always give 110%, no exceptions. I leave it all on the field, with no regrets. Whether the team I am a part of wins or loses, I always walk off the field or court knowing that I gave it my all and played the hardest I could have played. One thing that sports have taught me throughout my life is that winners get to the position they are in by learning from the loses and mistakes they have experienced in the past. A winner uses those loses and mistakes as their maxim, or driving force, to push them forward and make them a better athlete and student. That is what makes me a winner.
