I am Javier Estevez from Union City, NJ and I attend Union City High School. I have two years of varsity experience and still have my senior year left. I am a switch hitting second baseman but I also play Shortstop and Third base. First off, I am a very hard working individual who works hard and leaves his heart out on the field every chance I get. I have to and do work harder than most athletes because I am only 5'7" and weigh 155 lbs. I usually do not stand out in the height department but I do stand out on the field. I was a starter on Junior Varsity my Freshman year and a utility player my sophomore on Varsity. As for my Junior year, I am an everyday starter at second base on Varsity. I am Dominican, so baseball is in my blood. I am the first one to get one the field and the last one to leave. I am hoping to find a school towards the south because of the weather. My dream has always been to play baseball at a Division 1 school and hopefully make it to the college world series. My family isn't as well off financially as other families because my mother works for minimum wage at a factory and my father is a handy man who does not have a fixed income. I am looking into sports management as a major. My goals as a baseball player are to leave the people watching me play saying, "Wow, that kid can play". My aspirations are to play college baseball and hopefully one day play at the professional level.
