Personal Statement
Baseball has been a big part of my life since I was 4 years old. Over the years of
playing, baseball has taught me how to be a team player, respect decisions from
leadership and work ethic.
I attended Concord First Assembly through my 8th grade year. While attending
school there, I played football, baseball and basketball. I decided that I needed a
more competitive environment for baseball and asked my parent if I could attend
public school to get that experience. My parents agreed and I am now attending Cox
Mill High School. My goal was to make the Varsity team as a freshman. I achieved
that goal and am the starting 2 nd baseman. This was possible through hard work
and self -discipline.
My family and my Christian values are very important to me. This has taught me to
respect my coaches and their decisions and to be a coachable player. I work hard in
the classroom and currently have a 3.875 GPA.
I am looking for a school that will allow me to have a well-rounded college
experience and allow me to fulfill my dream of playing baseball in college.
