Personal Statement
The sport of baseball has always been one of my passions. I have played the game competitively since I was 7 years of age. I have deep roots there; with my grandfather having played professionally. I have been accustomed to hard work in all of my life pursuits. As with most; there have been some disappointments along the way; but I have never let those deter me from my long term goals. I have been successful in becoming one of the leaders on my local high school team as well as with my travel/showcase baseball teams. I feel I have the mind and ability to play baseball at the next level. I wish to have an opportunity to do so while preparing myself for the working world and acquiring a college degree. I am willing to put in both the time and effort to achieve these goals and to continue to better myself both mentally, physically and academically. I enjoy being in a team environment and hopefully can be a contributor as a member of a college baseball program.
I am searching for a school that is a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I enjoy the challenge and rewards of hard work in attempting to reach this goal. I have always displayed dedication and effort in order to create opportunities for myself in both the athletic and academic world. Hopefully these traits will benefit me in my future endeavors.
