Luke Collier '22 Recruiting Profile

I’m sure these are all the same.  I’m hardworking, diligent, a competitor, blah blah blah.  Instead of listing some qualities which 100% of athletes think they have, I’m going to tell you some things which I pray will show you who I am.  First off, I’ll never be a problem in the classroom.  I’ve had all A’s my entire life at an academics challenging school.  I hunger for that kind of success.  Secondly, I’m not going to say I work hard, but I hate seeing people work harder than me.  I don’t want to give them any reason to say why they can beat me.  Thirdly, I almost religiously watch baseball.  I don’t just love playing the game, I love watching it.  Studying it.  I’ll look for any little technique or move to give me the advantage over the next guy.  Lastly, I’ve had the dream of playing MLB baseball since I saw my first professional game.  And when I have a dream, I never give up and I never back down.  I will realize that dream.

And no, this was not written by my dad.
