During the ND State Baberuth Baseball 2013 is the moment I fell in love with the sport, we won the State tournament. It was in Carrington, North Dakota, we were playing Valley City and it started to rain. The winning run is on third base, our catcher Matt Miller is up to bat. Miller hits a single between first and second base. The winning run scores from third. Next thing you know we all were storming onto the diamond.
My career plans are to major in architectural drafting or civil engineering, with the commitment of completing my degree in one of those areas of study.
I show respect for all, never disrespecting my elders or my peers. I take pride in my myself, school, and my teams. I help my peers in any aspect of life, which includes on the baseball diamond, football field, basketball court or in school. I listen to what my coaches, teachers, parents, etc. have to say and learn from there guidance. I make any adjustments needed to enhance my game or my personal goals as they are brought to my attention. For example, when I was playing baseball last summer my legion coach Brent Luerhing asked me to position my hands on the bat differently. I did what he suggested, and it resulted in better hitting and a faster bat speed through the strike zone. When it comes to being on time, I am very punctual. I’m never late to practice nor to work. I love to compete against kids at the same athletic level or higher than myself, so I can improve on my own skills in the sport I have a great passion for.
