Personal Statement
I want to be a successful collegiate athlete, being an important player on a team with a winning culture. When I leave I want to be remembered as a player who was a great teammate and did anything to help his team win. I stand out from others with a very calm, easy going demeanor. I have great respect for my coaches and fellow teammates. Regardless of what is happening throughout games, I keep the same approach and positive outlook towards the game and my teammates. When it comes to decision making in my life, I always have my goals of playing collegiate baseball in mind and I would not do anything to jeopardize that. On the mound, my calm demeanor turns into a focused and motivated competitor. I have always thrived in the high pressure situations that baseball presents and have always seen the mound as my personal comfort zone, where I can accomplish anything I focus on. I possess great control over my curveball, with a lively four and two seam fastball with loads of natural movement. Academics has always been a priority for me since I am fully aware of the fact that in order to accomplish my goal of one day playing in the major leagues, I must first be a successful college student/athlete. All in all, my athletic ability, my kind and respectful personality and my drive for success in baseball makes me stand out from other recruits.
