My goal is to find a college that not only fits me academically and athletically but also socially. I am someone who enjoys spending time with other people and have found that I get along with everyone. For this reason, I know that I would like to have a career where I am working with others. This may be as an athletic trainer, a physical therapist, or I have even thought about becoming a chiropractor. Though I am not sure of my exact plans, I do know that I can not imagine having a career where I work by myself.
Having started playing team sports when I was five years old, I have grown to become a leader on the field. My teammates look up to me not only to encourage them but also to give them advice. This has been especially true when I chose to become a catcher on my baseball team. In addition to calling the pitches and settling down the pitcher when necessary, it is my responsibility to take on a leadership role. I am the one who faces my teammates during the game and who can see the entire field. I need to make quick decisions and always consider what is best for my team. I take this responsibility very seriously as I know how important it is.
Overall, I am a dedicated person who puts 100% into everything I do. I have proven to be a success in the classroom and on the baseball field. I just want to find the type of college program that is looking for the same thing from their student-athletes.
