Personal Statement
I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old. Since then, I have been working to get better every day. Playing with older kids when I was young forced me to play new positions. Since then I've been training as an infielder, shortstop, and a pitcher. All to go along with my explosive hitting. Playing with older kids my whole life made me custom to batting against faster and better pitchers. As I grew older I also got better.
During sophomore and junior year of New York Military school, I won the Les McMillan Baseball MVP award both Soph & Junior yrs & won the Dept of Army Cadet Challenge Award for Outstanding fitness endurance during the Cadet Challenge and the US Army Nation Physical Fitness award. Also the Hudson Valley Athletic All League award. I also have awards for MVP pitching for winning various tournaments.
Its my love for sports and competitive attitude in which got me into nutrition, health and fitness. My major will be related to physical activity. My short term goal for baseball is to get scouted and recruited by a college coach for a good team. My initial goal is to play all 4 years as a starter and get called to the minor leagues. If all goes well, like many players my long term goal is to play major league baseball.
If there's anything you should know about me, it is my attitude on the field. Not only do i use my physical ability to succeed but its also mental. If the games tied in extra inning with bases loaded, I'm the guy you want at the plate. No situation can phase me. When I'm on that mound its just me, my catcher and my defenders. I go on that field with a mindset to destroy the other team. I will always play my hardest, in practice, scrimmages or games. Its just how am. Anybody who has ever coached, played with me, or seen me play can definitely confirm this. In time, I look forward to bigger things to come.
