Personal Statement
I have played baseball since I was 4 years old. I joined a travel team (SFX Huskies) when I was 7 years old and am still playing for them. I also play for my H.S. team. I received golden glove my freshman year on the varsity baseball team. In my Junior year, I received the Joe Victor Award for Heart and Passion. I have played at many baseball tournaments throughout NY, PA, DC, and DE. I also attended a week of spring baseball camp for the past 3 years in Florida with my H.S. baseball team. I played for a week at the Cooperstown Baseball World tournament in 2013 and Sports at the Beach every August for the last 3 years. Baseball is my favorite sport. I live and breathe baseball. I also like football, basketball, and Mixed Martial Arts. I competed at the Challenge of Champions in kickboxing and grappling in NJ 2 years ago. I placed 1st in grappling.
I spend some of my extra time helping an elderly woman who is my neighbor. I go grocery shopping for her and help her out around the house. I also assisted with the Hurricane Sandy clean up in Long Beach, NY and Staten Island, NY. I helped with removing debris and I unloaded an 18 wheeler truck filled with supplies. The rest of my time, when not studying or playing ball, I spend with my family watching and playing sports.
After I graduate High School, I want to go to college and play baseball in college. I would like to major in Criminal Justice and become an FBI agent unless I am drafted to play baseball beyond college level.
My strongest character traits include honesty, competitiveness, strength, dependability, and being respectful. I am 100% a team player. I have also been the team captain of my travel baseball team for the past 4 years.
