Savino Citriniti '16 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Savino Citriniti. I am currently a Junior at Pinebush High School in New York. Ever since I was three years old I always had a baseball bat or ball in my hand. I love baseball and have a tremendous amount of passion for the game. Everyday I am either in the gym or at a field trying to improve on my skills and I believe the only way to succeed at something is to stay committed and give it your all. I also care very much about my grades because I want the best education I can possibly get. I am currently enrolled in two college classes and I am on tract to graduate with an advanced regents diploma. Every year I make High Honor Roll. I also enjoy to challenge myself because that's what makes you better. I have always loved to play above my age group because I would be challenged and it would force me to try even harder and practice harder because I am a very competitive and I hate to lose. I made Varsity as a Sophomore and started every game. Also when I was 14 I played American legion summer ball 17u for the Middletown Cobras and I started in almost everygame. The next year I played 17u again and our team won the District, Section, and New York State championship. This previous summer I played for the 19u team and we made it to the playoffs. Out of those three years I either had the highest batting average or the second highest. I feel like I would be a perfect fit for any team because I am a great leader. This summer I took an academy through my school called Law and Leadership Academy. I was awarded a prestigious medal from a colonel from the United States Army for outstanding leadership. It has always been my dream to play at the next level of baseball. I have sacrificed many things in order to stay committed to baseball and I work as hard as I possibly can. I am looking for any form of financial aid possible. Thank you
