Jacob Stuursma '15 Recruiting Profile

     My collegiate goals are to be able to make a team better and ultimately win. Not only have I obtained my varsity letter every year including my freshman year, I have also started at shortstop for Kings Baseball Club since 3rd grade. Every year of our existence we have won at least one tournament playing against the best competition in Ohio and surrounding states. I know what it takes to win and will do anything in order to help my team win. I am a hard worker and I strive to get better every day. I have been taught to do everything to the best of my ability and that hard work always beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

     In the classroom, I am a successful student. I have maintained a 4.0+ GPA and currently have a 4.2 GPA. I am looking to pursue a career in medicine as an orthopedic surgeon and want to attend a college that will challenge me both academically and athletically. 

     The things that make me unique as a baseball player are my attention to details, baseball instincts, and unrelenting desire to be the best I can be. I have the willingness to put in the work day in and day out and seek the opportunity to compete everyday.
