Personal Statement
My plan is to major in accounting / business. My long-term goal is to become an accountant / CPA. I will work very hard on my undergraduate degree to get the highest grades possible.
Characteristics that separate me as an individual are work ethic, honesty, integrity, and a pleasant nature. My parents have taught me a set of core values that will carry forward after high school. We talk about decision making almost daily and the consequences of good and bad decisions.
I love playing and being around baseball. I've been blessed with certain skills that make me an effective pitcher: location, change of speeds and poise. Since I first began pitching as a 9 year old, I've always been able to locate pitches. Over the past couple of years, I've worked on developing off-speed pitches and those are becoming increasingly effective. When I make a mistake and a batter has a nice hit, I move on to the next pitch. As I've progressed over the years, each time that I've joined a team, I've become one of the primary pitchers. My coaches through the years have always relied on my resilience to get the job done.
