Personal Statement
My goal is to play baseball for a program that shares my passion for the game. I am a power and contact lefthanded hitter that plays the corner outfield positions. My sophomore year I played on the varsity team for Westlake High School and played summer ball for Force Ohio. During the summer of 2021, my 60-yard dash time was reduced to 6.76 seconds and my exit velocity improved to 92 off the tee and 98.8 off pitching with a max distance of 395 feet. I follow a consistent workout plan, practice on my own regularly, seek learning opportunities, and take pride in making healthy choices.
My work ethic is also apparent in the classroom, challenging myself with 13 honors and 3 AP classes. Managing extra work in high school and having a weighted GPA of 4.23 on a 4.00 scale will prepare me for a demanding student-athlete schedule in college. I would like to attend a school that matches my academic potential.
Maintaining a reputation for being a respected leader on and off the field is important. Strong leaders have positive relationships with teammates and coaches, learn as much as possible to improve, and contribute to winning seasons. I stand out because of what I do when nobody else is watching. I hold myself to high standards and trust that my work ethic and desire to learn more will make me a better athlete. I hope to gain new perspectives on the game and improve in a college program with support from coaches that will help me reach my potential.
